Wow where do I begin? The Rogues made my Mom's 80th birthday party, she was overwhelmed!! This band is phenomenal and I would highly recommend them. They are the real deal when it comes to Irish Bands!
The Rogues were the perfect addition to our waterfront wedding. They were professional and accommodating from day 1 of the planning process. On our wedding day they were very organized and played wonderfully. I would highly recommend them for any event; we are so glad that they were there on our special day!
Thanks so much, Jim, to you and all the Rogues!!! What a great day we had! I talked to my parents this morning and they are still "high" and couldn't stop raving about the Rogues. I don't think anyone had more fun than my parents did, especially my dad. It was all just perfect! The song choices were wonderful, and the performance was above and beyond anything we could've expected. We definitely want to have the Rogues come play for us again!!!
All the best,
Nancy

The Rogues are made up of an eclectic band of musicians and singers that bring an intriguing repertoire of 18th and 19th Century material from period commemoriatve, tavern/drinking, romantic ballads, sea shanties, children's tunes, as well as Irish songs. Their music is good fun and will keep your foot tapping, or the audience singing
Have you ever closed your eyes while listening to music and thought you were back in a certain time period? Well, if you listen to the Jolly Rogues that is what you are doing. Stepping back in time, when the only way to express yourself was through lively discussion and music. Music tells the story that is so often lost in history. This talented group of musicians and singers came together as re-enactors, historians and friends. The Jolly Rogues started as a group of historic interpreters at Minuteman National Historic Park and spread their collective wings to become one of the most historical music groups in New England. The Rogues repertoire of 18th and 19th Century music has been researched to provide music heard at different times in the nation’s history. The music consists of ballads and tales, shanties and songs of revolt. As the Rogues have been come a staple to some event planners in Boston, they have included contemporary pieces that explain Boston’s and New England’s place in the world. These songs make up perfect entertainment for concerts, events and other gatherings. Depending on the venue, the Rogues appear with the core musicians and add special entertainment to round out the event. Each member is attired in the 18th or 19th Century clothing to add a special flair to the performance. The Rogues are not just musicians but great entertainers as well. The group has carved out a niche in the local musical entertainment circles. So why not make them a part of your next event or gathering.Hello Rogues-
My name is Beth George and I have
written a play called For Riches and Honour, a comedy about privateers.
I live in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, a town that celebrates
Privateer Days every summer in honor or it's colorful past as the port
of privateers.
This year, the local community theatre
group, the Winds of Change, is going to perform my play June 30, July 1
& 2. The Winds of Change is a non-profit group and all the actors
are volunteers.
I love all the music on your CD Hicks
the Pirate and would like to play it before the play begins while the
audience is being seated, and again at the intermission. It fits
beautifully with the overall atmosphere we are trying to create for the
play. We will purchase the CD from iTunes.
In exchange for allowing us to play
the music, we will include an acknowledgement in the program, as well
as the website for the Rogues.
So, may I have your permission to play
Hicks the Pirate during our performances?
Many thanks,
Beth George, 32 Brooklyn,
Nova Scotia, Canada.
